Bossa Nova with Martha Bassett

Martha Bassett will discuss the origins of bossa nova as a Latin musical genre, and her personal history of learning to play bossas during the pandemic. She will give examples of songs with voice and guitar, breaking down the elements of the style and discussing the connection of bossa nova to American jazz.
