A total of 45.5 million Hispanics/Latinos currently reside in the US, making Hispanics 15.1% of the total U.S. population, the second largest ethnic group after non-Hispanic white Americans.
America currently counts with 1.3 million Salvadorans, 1.2 million Dominicans, almost a million Guatemalans and Colombians, as well as almost half a million Hondurans, Ecuadorians and Peruvians.
